I think what makes Shoei such a popular choice amongst real bikers out there is the fact that they aren’t even a massive corporate company. I believe the company is only about 500 people strong and thus when you wear a Shoei Helmet you feel that little bit more exclusive.

I bought myself a Shoei RF1000 helmet in a large, since I got such a big head! The features include an aerodynamic shell design maximized through extensive wind tunnel and rider testing. Also, the integrated upper air intake minimizes air turbulence and maximizes air stream in all riding positions. I have worn helmets before that feel they are going to push my head into my neck but the RF1000 is incredibly lightweight. You can’t even feel the helmet on your head as you ride around which is a simply awesome feeling. The temperature where I live is pretty medium during the summer and doesn’t get too hot so I can’t really say how it would work in extensive sunlight but for when it does get cold there is a chin insert also. If you do use this helmet in a really sunny country I would advice you get a tinted visor as I don’t think you would be able to fit shades underneath this helmet. The tinted visors look really cool, so you wouldn’t have to ask me twice which I prefer!

All in all, you will be really pleased with most Shoei helmets and the RF1000 is no different. If you live in Europe its referred to as the XR 1000 just incase you’re a bit confused. I would have no qualms in recommending you buy from Amazon if you don’t have a motor shop near you as they do great fast delivery/ There are some fantastic deals on Shoei helmets at Amazon at this very moment!
